# #StarWarsDay

# There is a serene timelessness about the last few minutes before the alarm. When you wake and know you only have to lay back and enjoy being in the moment, those few minutes can seem like an eternity.

# When selecting the next book to read I came across the below jewellery making instructions in my secondhand copy of "The Gift" by Lewis Hyde. If the previous owner was using it as a bookmark they obviously didn't get very far as it was inserted near the front of the book. Perhaps that's why they got rid of it. Still, I wonder if, and for how long, they were hunting for those instructions after parting with the book.

I occasionally come across the odd note or dedication written in secondhand books which gives them a great sense of history. My copy of Unplugged by Nicholas Bate was an ex-library book which, with my purchase, has returned to the county it used to call home according to the library stamps.
