# At the beginning of the month I celebrated 200 consecutive days of posts and I continued the streak - until yesterday.
It just wasn't a particularly "bloggy" kind of day.
I headed to bed around 11pm and could have easily thrown something together, maybe something meta about turning up every day and the obligation that comes with it.
But I chose not to.
Posting every day is great, is something you can be proud of, but I think that once it stops happening naturally, organically, once it becomes an obligation rather than a joy, it's time to step back and not force it.
That's not how I want to blog.

# After recently mentioning that I should break out my old copy of ReBirth to make some music my attention was well and truly rapt by Auxy in the App Store today.
Dubbed a "mobile studio" it lets easily you combine drums and synths (bass and lead) using a basic piano roll and pattern sequencer.
But basic it isn't!
The ease with which you can throw something together and even automate controls and effects is remarkable.
I've been playing with it on and off all day and quickly come up with this:
@colinwalker Congrats on the run, and I agree that it shouldn’t become an obligation.
@colinwalker This is an interesting coincident. My streak has been far, far shorter than yours but I was hoping to at least keep it up for a few more days to earn the Daily Blogger pin on Micro.blog. However yesterday I didn’t get around to post. I was thinking about it multiple times during the day. I even knew what to post but due to the things we were doing in the family yesterday, which was also going to be the subject of the post, I never posted anything. This morning when I realized that I’d broken the streak I actually posted the photo that I was supposed to post yesterday and tried to set its date to late yesterday, when I had intended to do it. It worked for the blog but Micro.blog still (correctly) registered it as a post from today. Initially it bummed me out but then I read your post and realized that the streak is not that big of a deal and then I changed the date of the post again to be the actual posting date, not the intended date. So thanks for your post!
