Meetings. So many meetings. Some I don't think I should be part of but can't really decline. Others that are needed just aren't long enough to cover what's required.

Half my day consists of meetings, although I now often simply cancel many of them. For example, if the description is already meaningless or I know that nothing will come of it anyway.

It's my first day in the new office tomorrow so took a drive down to ensure I know where I'm going in the morning. It was a pretty good run – certainly better than the commute to London used to be. It will be good to meet the new team.
