I'm definitely not using the microblog category any more, it's redundant now. The RSS feed will still exist should I ever want to go back to it but this will be the last post on it acting as a marker, pointing out that it's no longer updated.

Recognising the issues and challenges is a great start but resolving them is another matter entirely.

This is absolutely brilliant!
A very clever reminder about the issues with being always connected.
I've thoroughly enjoyed the time I've spent beta testing Summit and look forward to the new builds.
If you need a fun but educational way to gamify your step tracking then you can't go far wrong with this!

Some great thoughts well articulated here.
This will be interesting to watch! 🤔
An enhanced protocol beyond RSS that pushes changes to posts out to subscribers in real time.
I believe in the potential of the indieweb, the utility and connectivity it provides. That's why I've spent so much time getting things working how I want them and, more importantly, why I am critical of it.
The saying goes: "just because you can it doesn't mean you should."
But, sometimes, "because you can" is exactly the reason to! 😆
I've also updated the Readme to point out that the plugin relies on having a way to send webmentions. Should be obvious but never assume!
Just submitted a quick commit to the Likes and Replies plugin so that it ignores libxml errors when fetching the contents of remote pages as I'd had a couple of issues.
I like the sound of what's planned for the next major WordPress release: improved coding experience for themes and plugins including syntax highlighting.
It's sad to already see one star reviews for Ulysses on the App Store after the switch to subscription. It's not for everyone but there's no need for people to be spiteful.
Spent some time removing inline CSS from the theme (it was only supposed to be there while I worked things out) but the PowerPress plugin annoyingly puts some in when resolving its shortcodes. 😡
The microcast has now also updated on iTunes.
The workflow has been updated and the problem should now be resolved for future episodes.
Sorry again 😢

After I said I missed split screen in Windows and used Magnet, Colin posted how to actually do it in OSX Sierra. He's right, it really isn't intuitive but good to know it's there.
This change removes the one thing I wasn't happy with: having an external service dictate how I did things on the blog. I don't have to be torn between posting and distribution any longer.
Spending time with the MacBook is starting to pay off. I had to do something at work today I wouldn't have had a clue about just a few weeks ago.
