# I'm heading back to the doctor this morning as I still can't speak properly. The steroids I was prescribed last week obviously haven't reduced the swelling on my vocal cords.

So now I face a second week off work with the same thing that took me out for a month back in February and March.

Normally, I'd be thrilled at being away from work and you'd think I'd be able to use all this time to write but, over the past few days and the longer this goes on, the harder I have found it to concentrate and get my thoughts together.

The debilitating cough is frustrating enough on its own but it has the knock on effect of impacting my sleep which is never conducive to clear thinking.

It's starting to get me down.

# The rumour that Apple is working on a 6.5 inch variant of the iPhone X (possibly for next year) makes a lot of sense.

When you consider that this year’s 5.8 inch screen device is similar in size to the iPhone 6/7/8 then it follows that a larger version would be roughly equivalent in overall dimensions to the current Plus models.

Sure enough, the overall unit size of the current Plus phones are roughly 6.5 inches. A larger X should, therefore, be a little larger.

This would also tie in with the suggestion that the X is the future of the iPhone implying that the existing models will be phased out.

This year was an anomaly with Apple releasing three main devices. I would fully expect them to get back to releasing two with an updated X and a new X Plus.

And this is without touching on the obvious angle of competition.

# It's amusing how all of the spam comments hitting the blog right now are related to shoes/trainers/sneakers. Obviously (a) specific bot(s) having fun. ?
