Looking back it’s funny to see how times and attitudes have changed. When the big social networks were just getting started they were viewed with skepticism, granted, but they were also seen decidedly differently.
I can remember being off sick and having to refrain from tweeting because being active on a social network whilst ill was tantamount to being spotted out shopping when you were supposedly bed ridden.
Ridiculous but true!
Now, people are sending status updates, tweets and messages constantly and they can be the easiest - perhaps even the only - communication you can have with others when incapacitated.
